After returning home from Kiawah the day after a devastating storm, Pepco informed us we could be without power for up to a week. We spent one night at home, took Cali for a hike the next day, and decided to bolt for Chicago before unpacking our bags. Yvonne always enjoys going home to Glencoe for 4th of July, as does the rest of the family. We get a chance to visit with her family, do the fun run in the a.m., the town parade in the afternoon, followed by fireworks on the Glencoe Beach. I also enjoyed my 2nd annual golf outing with Mark Jozwiak (with whom I started my career at C&W), and Todd Kelly (a client I’ve known for years). After two rain delays, and 7 and ½ hours on the golf course…my game gave in to the swing oil. After visiting Chicago, we took off for Minneapolis and visited our oldest daughter, Lydia for a few days. Cali enjoyed swimming in Lake Calhoun…and the two older chicks had a chance to see The Avett Brothers at the Basilica Block Party.
